Thursday, March 16th, 2017 was epochal for the African Cycling Foundation (ACF) as it made its first donation of bicycles to school children under its RIDE to School initiative.
The event took place at the Lagos State Education District 3, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi.
Representing the Lagos State Government at the occasion was Mrs A.J. Odunsi-Titus, Director , Science & Technology Co-Curricular Dept who stood in for the district’s Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary.
The beneficiaries were Omotayo Isiaka Dauda (M) of Igbooye Community Senior High School, Epe, LagosSS2 and Naomi Olayinka Adebowale (F), SS”, of Ibeju Senior High school, Ibeju, Lagos.
They both received 1 bicycle and helmet each to ease their travel challenges to school and back.
The donation was handed over by Mrs Damilola Williams, Executive Secretary, ACF.
