The African Cycling Foundation (ACF) is a social enterprise that aims to transform lives via the bicycle. We are focused on enabling people change their circumstances and optimise their potentials by providing mobility. We also seek to promote safe and regular cycling as a means of achieving sustainable wellness for all and improved academic performance for young people.

The absence of reliable and affordable transportation is a major barrier to advancement for most rural dwellers in developing countries. A sturdy bicycle possesses remarkable power to unleash the tremendous potentials of people, leading to a better life.

We are engaged in robust advocacy for the establishment of a safe and conducive environment for cycling in both urban and rural areas of Nigeria and Africa.

The African Cycling Foundation was founded in 2016 by Yemi Osilaja, a passionate social entrepreneur. Mr Osilaja was the pioneer Executive Director of Hope Worldwide Nigeria (HWWN), part of a global group of social enterprises that provides medical and economic relief to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and their vulnerable children. Yemi has been involved in various other highly successful social initiatives. Mr Osilaja is a founding member and trustee of Cycology Riding Club, Nigeria’s most prestigious and fastest growing cycling club and a past president of Rotary Club of Lekki Phase 1.
